Police Investigate a Rendezvous Gone Wrong

The following information is gathered from the St. Clair Shores Police Department. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

A 37-year-old St. Clair Shores man contacted the St. Clair Shores police Sept. 22 after he was robbed at gunpoint at his home in the 22600 block of Maxine. 

The man said he was in contact with a woman on datehookup.com and arranged a meeting at his home.

When she arrived at his home about 2:45 a.m., she sent him a text with “can you come out to my car, I’m kinda shy.”

As the man exited his house he was approached by an 18-year-old man, 5-feet 10-inches tall, 160 pounds, with a red bandana over face and was wearing a red baseball cap, red flannel shirt and blue jeans with a handgun.

The suspect ordered the man to put his hands up and walk out to the drive, lay on the ground and give the suspect everything he had.

He was then ordered to get into trunk of the suspect's trunk. He got up and started screaming for help.

The suspect ran to an early 2000s black, four-door Pontiac Bonneville with 20-inch, five-star rims. A 24-year-old woman, with a gray hoodie, was driving the car. 

The care fled westbound on Maxine toward Mack. Police searched the area and were unable to find the vehicle.
