St. Isaac Jogues SummerFest 2013

SIJ SummerFest 2013

St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church & School, along with their cluster-parish partners at St. Angela Merici in Roseville, presents the SIJ SummerFest 2013 at the SIJ campus located off of 10 Mile Road between Harper Ave and Little Mack in St. Clair Shores on September 6th, 7th and 8th. SummerFest hours: Friday, Sept 6th - 3pm-12 midnight; Saturday, Sept 7th - 11am-12 midnight; Sunday, Sept 8th - 12:30-8pm.

Replacing the popular “Oktoberfest,” SummerFest will feature carnival rides, midway games and food carts provided by Schmidt Amusements. Rides run Friday 4:00-10:00pm, Saturday 12:00-10:00pm, and Sunday 12:30-6:00pm. Wristbands will be available for $16 (per day) to ride all day long!

Also on-site will be a food court featuring area restaurants like Copper Penny, Detroit Style Pizza Co, and Little Z’s BBQ. A “Family Dinner Night” Spaghetti Dinner will be served on Friday from 4:00-8:00pm in the church basement.

Adults will enjoy a beer tent throughout SummerFest along with a fun Mushball Tournament on Saturday. All-male and co-ed teams are invited to participate; registration information can be found at sijsummerfest.com. Bingo and Vegas-style gaming will be held in the SIJ gymnasium including a poker tournament at 4:00pm on Sunday. Try your luck at Let It Ride, Blackjack and more.

Kids ages 6-18 are invited to showcase their special talents at SIJ’s first “Got Talent?” competition starting Saturday at 12:00pm. Registration is required for the competition; more information can be found at sijsummerfest.com. Look for a preschool game tent for kids under age 6, too.
