Football Teams Preparing for Upcoming Season
The Lake Shore, Lakeview and South Lake football teams will take to the field Aug. 12 for the first day of practice.
The recent cool evenings are a harbinger of fall weather and football.
While parkas may not be needed, local high school football teams will soon be taking the field for the upcoming season. Here are a few dates to remember for the coming season for players, parents and the community.
Athletic physicals
The Detroit Medical Center will conduct athletic physicals from 6 - 9 p.m. Aug. 7 at Lake Shore High School.
Lake Shore High School
- Interval training begins at 6 p.m. Aug. 5th at the football field
- First day of practice is Aug. 12
- First game against South Lake at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 29 at South Lake
- First day of practice is Aug. 12
- First game against Grosse Pointe North at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 29 at Lakeview High School
- First day of practice is Aug. 12
- First game against Lake Shore at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 29 at South Lake
