Country Music Festival Coming to Veterans Memorial Park

A two-day music festival is coming to Veterans Memorial Park in August for the first St. Clair Shores Country Music Fest.

The sounds of country music will fill Veterans Memorial Park in August for the for the first St. Clair Shores Country Music Fest.

The event Friday, Aug. 2, and Saturday, Aug. 3, is being hosted by the St. Clair Shores Activities Committee and will feature live bands, costume contest, hog calling and barbecue.

According to the Dennis George, event producer and Activities Committee member of the 2013 St Clair Shores Country Music Fest, the scheduled lineup for the two-day festival includes:

Friday, Aug. 2

  • Gates open at 5 p.m.
  • Performances begin at 6 p.m. with Horse Cave Trio
  • 8:30 p.m. Joey Vee 
  • Admission is $2 per person
Saturday, Aug. 3
  • Gates open at 2 p.m.
  • Taylor Tucky takes the stage at 3 p.m.
  • 6 p.m. Richard Lawson and The Southerners
  • 8:30 p.m. The Orbitsuns
  • Admission is $3 per person  
Country music will be provided between the 1 1/2 hour sets by Outrageous Jams.
There will be fee parking both days.
