I started my college career off at Wayne State University as an Engineering student, without having a sincere interest in engineering. One semester in, I decided to follow my heart and switched to Broadcast Journalism. As a recent grad, I'm entering the journalism realm with experience from WDET-FM, WDIV-TV, WLNS-TV, the Detroit Free Press, and a few more places. Born and raised in Romulus, Mich., I'm excited to have the opportunity to report in a community so close to home. I love shooting and editing video to mold it into a story and writing feature articles on stories that people in the community can relate to and care about. Why I'm excited to be working with Patch? Well, here I don't have to choose if I'm going to do print, web or broadcast, I can do it all! I believe that life is a never-ending learning lesson, and as a journalist it is my job to always learn something new. I'm a fun-loving, open-minded "Jill of all trades" that can never sit still! Everyone has a story to tell - toss me a pen and a pad, or a mic and camera and I'll be their ghostwriter.
