Erik Anderson is the “Jack of All Trades” at News/Talk 760 WJR-AM in Detroit, Michigan. He is the Executive Producer and Mac Minute commentator for WJR’s Internet Advisor Show. A “floating” station producer, engineer / board-op, and content editor & videographer for WJR.com.

Anderson began his career at WJR as an intern for the Paul W. Smith Show in January 2004. While interning, he began working as a weekend producer / call screener for various shows. In June 2004, after his internship concluded, Anderson continued working for the station as a weekend producer. In April 2005, he was promoted to associate producer and began assisting in the station’s Web department.

In addition to WJR, Erik occasionally can be found filling in as a production engineer / board-op at The Detroit Radio Information Service, a reading service of WDET-FM & Wayne State University for the visually impaired. He also hosts St. Clair Shores Radio, a podcast on all things related to his hometown, St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

In his college days, Erik worked for WXOU Radio, Oakland University’s student run radio station, holding positions from DJ to General Manager. The station won a handful of Michigan Association of Broadcasters College Excellence Awards under his management, including 1st place for news in 2010. He hosted “Best Tech”. A technology TV show airing on Oakland University’s cable TV station. The show won 2nd place for Best College TV Talk Show at the 2009 MAB College Excellence Awards.

Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from Oakland University, Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radio & TV from Macomb Community College, and is a graduate of the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts.
