Greetings!  I have been a fixture of the Eastside entertainment scene for 15 years as an event planner, hostess/emcee, model, former professional cheerleader, and as a writer. I have also handled marketing and public relations for several southeast Michigan restaurants, nightclubs, and bars, and I own CK Promotions and also Social Butterfly Media & Marketing.

I like to think I know my way around a good time, since 'life is meant to be lived,' and I practice what I preach daily. (Hey, who has two thumbs and a Guinness World Record? This girl!) My extensive experience in fun things to do--whether it's a cardboard regatta, fundraiser, outdoor music event, theme party or book signing--and mindboggling number of contacts makes me a perfect candidate to bring to you a weekly entertainment column for you fun loving nightlifers. 

In both high school and college, I was active in cheerleading and Journalism, with the former contributing to the positive, enthusiastic attitude sometimes needed for the latter. I've written freelance pieces since 1991 for several local papers, such as The Voice, Macomb Monthly, and Real Detroit Weekly, and have been extensively quoted in most every newspaper in southeast Michigan area while I represented clients during my public relations work. I feel very lucky to have realized yet another dream--to write for the new wave of reporting: online journalism. I hope to bring you good articles that will make you smile, think or just plain ol' entertain you.
