Update: St. Clair Shores Attorney Charged With Embezzling Nearly $400K

The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office has brought charges against a St. Clair Shores attorney for allegedly embezzling nearly $400,000 from a trust for two teenage boys. He was arraigned Tuesday.

The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office has charged an attorney from St. Clair Shores with allegedly stealing nearly $400,000 from a trust for two teenage boys. Robert Buschmohle, 39, who is charged with embezzlement over $100,000,  was appointed sole trustee of a living trust for two Warren males. Investigators allege Buschmohle wrote checks to himself from the fund over four years, draining it of all $389,000.  The mother of the boys attempted to contact Buschmohle as they neared the trust disbursement age of 19 to find out how they would receive their payments. After she was unable to contact him, she made a complaint to the Attorney Grievance Commission, who brought the matter to the Warren Police, according to the release. “This family …

Macomb's Leaders Work Together for Public Safety

The top law enforcement officials in Macomb County are currently working together to keep the county safe through the most cost-effective methods.

Macomb County's top law enforcement officials are pledging to break down the "silos" between county departments tasked with keeping residents throughout the safe. The officials, including Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, Sheriff Anthony Wickersham, Chief Circuit Court Judge David Viviano and Prosecutor Eric Smith, came together Monday to announce the new Macomb MADE Safe Council. The council, which uses the acronym that includes the first name of each official, formalizes an on-going effort between the four leaders efforts to find "efficiencies" in the criminal justice system to save money and better serve the residents. Macomb's Top Law Enforcers Partner to Reduce Drunk Driving

Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham, Prosecutor Eric Smith and Macomb Traffic Safety Association work together to reduce the number drunk drivers on the road this holiday season.

Macomb County's top law enforcement officials are urging motorists to call 911 if they see a drunk drivers on the road. Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith and Sheriff Anthony Wickersham came together Monday to kick off the "Call 911" campaign to report drunk drivers. "It is incumbent on all of us to help law enforcement find drunk drivers," Smith said. "If you see somebody that is  all over the roads, endangering other citizens, please pick up your phone and call 911. When we all work together, we can make our streets a safter palce to be."
