Twitter Outage Hits St. Clair Shores Patch Account

Users of the social networking site in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa were affected Thursday, according to the Associated Press.

St. Clair Shores Patch was not immune to a Twitter outage that affected users around the world Thursday, the day before the 2012 Olympic Games were set to kick off in London. While the social networking site appeared to be working again Thursday afternoon, earlier in the day users were greeted with an error message when attempting to access the service via computer. "The outage — which was first noticed at around 11:15 a.m. ET and had been down for about an hour — didn’t even displaying the company’s typical 'fail whale' logo it typically posts during down times," according to social media site mashable.com. Miss Michigan Angela Venditti, who was previously Miss St. Clair Shores, has established a Facebook and Twitter account to follow her travels around Michigan as she prepares for the Miss America Pageant.

A Facebook page and Twitter handle have been created to follow Miss Michigan Angela Venditti as she travels the state and prepares for the Miss America Pageant.  Venditti, who previously served as Miss St. Clair Shores, was crowned Miss Michigan Saturday.
