Marina District Signs Installed on Interstate 94

Signs identifying the marina districts in St. Clair Shores, New Baltimore and Harrison Township have been installed along I-94 as part of Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel's Blue Economy Initiative.

The last of 52 Circle the Lake Tour signs have been installed along Interstate 94 in Macomb County to direct resident and visitors to the Lake St. Clair waterfront. The Macomb County Department of Roads placed signs throughout the county that feature a map of Lake St. Clair, "Circle The Lake Tour" wording and the address for the Tour Lake St. Clair website. The final signs to be installed were along I-94 to designate marina districts in St. Clair Shores, New Baltimore and Harrison Townships. “Lake St. Clair is the urban center of the Great Lakes waterway system,” said County Executive Mark Hackel, in a release. “The signs help draw attention to all 31.5 miles of our fine coastline.” The signs were developed through a collaborative effort …

Tour Lake St. Clair Signs Installed

Signs are being placed in St. Clair Shores, and throughout Macomb County, to raise awareness of Lake St. Clair and increase tourism along the waterfront.

Motorists traveling along Jefferson or exiting Interstate 94 at 9 Mile Road will notice new nautical-themed signs intended to raise awareness of Lake St. Clair and direct traffic to businesses in the communities along the waterfront. The Macomb County Department of Roads is in the process of installing 50 signs throughout the county which feature a map of Lake St. Clair, "Circle The Lake Tour" wording and the address for the Tour Lake St. Clair website. The sign program should be complete before spring.
