The newest restaurant on the Nautical Mile opened May 1 in the former Beach Grill restaurant.
The newest waterfront restaurant in St. Clair Shores has opened in a familiar location on the Nautical Mile. The Tin Fish opened Wednesday in the location of the Beach Grill in Jefferson Beach Marina. While the exterior of the restaurant has remained nearly the same, areas of the interior have been remodeled including the main dining room which features fish sculptures and photos along the wall. The large mural of Jefferson Beach Marina on the dining room wall has also been replaced with a wall of mirrors. Also, with the return of warm weather, the waterfront outdoor seating has reopened. Tin Fish, which recently announced plans to open a new location in St. Clair Shores, has been taken to court by The Mall at Partridge Creek for allegedly owing $400,000 in rent.
Tin Fish, which recently announced plans to open a location in St. Clair Shores, will be in court later this month for allegedly not paying "rent and other charges" for the Partridge Creek location. Partridge Creek claims that Tin Fish has not paid some $406,759 "in rent and other charges" it currently owes, according to court documents obtained by The Macomb Daily. Per the restaurant's 2007 lease agreement with the mall, Tin Fish was to pay approximately $15,000 a month in rent to Partridge Creek, The Macomb Daily reports. Having not received a good deal of this rent as of Jan. 2, the mall filed a complaint for "possession of real property" against Tin Fish last month in 41B District Court and a hearing on the case is scheduled for Feb. …

Tin Fish and Jefferson Beach Marina formally announced plans Tuesday to open a new location in St. Clair Shores.
Tin Fish formally announced Tuesday plans to open a new location at Jefferson Beach Marina this year. The restaurant will open in the former Beach Grill on the Nautical Mile in St. Clair Shores. “We’re thrilled to be opening a new restaurant at Jefferson Beach Marina” said Allison Koch, managing partner of Tin Fish Restaurants, in a release. “We chose Jefferson Beach because of it’s beautiful marina views and location on the Nautical Mile. This marina has 800 plus members, surrounded by one of Michigan’s largest seaside communities – we want to expose them to the Tin Fish experience.” The restaurant, unlike the Beach Grill, will be open year-round for lunch and dinner. “This is a great amenity for JBM members” said Danny Samson of …

A post on the Jefferson Beach Marina Facebook page announced the Tin Fish restaurant chain will come to St. Clair Shores and will replace The Beach Grill.
The Nautical Mile will soon have a new restaurant in a familiar location. Jefferson Beach Marina posted on their Facebook page that Tin Fish will open in the former Beach Grill. The restaurant chain currently has location at Partridge Creek and 12 Oaks Mall. "Tin Fish will introduce their unique brand of menu items, entertainment and hospitality to the Marina and Shores community," the post stated. An opening date is pending. Officials with Jefferson Beach Marina and Tin Fish could not be reached for comment. Jefferson Beach Marina purchased the Beach Grill last year from Mark DiMaso, who helped open bar and restaurant 15 years ago on the site of the original Brownie's on the Lake, according to a story in the St. Clair Shores Sentinel.

Went to lunch there yesterday, watched the manager and cook HARASS 2 male customers, for sending their food back and them refused to give them a refund. Our food was just o.k. nothing to rave about and the service was slow.   more ›
