VIDEO: Tigers Caravan Takes in History, Americana at The Henry Ford

The Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan made a stop Thursday at The Henry Ford where coaches including manager Jim Leyland to get a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum.

The Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan visited The Henry Ford in Dearborn on Thursday. Manager Jim Leyland and coaches Gene Lamont and Lloyd McClendon toured the museum and received a behind-the-scenes look at the new Driving America Exhibit, which opens to the public on Jan. 29. The Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan continues Friday. The Tigers will open the 2012 season April 5 against the Boston Red Sox at Comerica Park.

The Henry Ford gallery in Dearborn, Mich., is reopening after an extended period of remodeling to unfold an account of America's obsession with the automobile. Beginning Jan. 29, the exhibition “Driving America” will open to the general public. Why Go: Our Lady Star of the Sea holds its fall festival this evening, with fun for the whole family in the works. Enjoy carnival games, an obstacle course, bungee run, music, raffles, foods, a bake sale, a mum sale, pumpkins and more.
