The Detroit Tigers did not win the World Series, but because of a stolen base in Game 2, Taco Bell is offering free tacos today.
If victory is sweet then today in Detroit defeat tastes of tacos. Today from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Taco Bell is making good on their "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco" promotion. The national fast-food chain, with over 6,000 restaurants including one on Harper, promised one free Dorito Loco Taco to each customer if any player managed to steal a base during the World Series. The Detroit Tigers 2-0 loss to San Francisco in Thursday's second World Series game may leave hometown fans dejected, but at least they can enjoy free tacos next week. Angel Pagan's stolen base in the eighth inning triggers Taco Bell's World Series "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco" promotion. On Oct. 30, 2 p.m.-6 p.m., customers can pick up a free Doritos Locos Taco at any Taco Bell, including the St. Clair Shores location at 28417 Harper. According to a Huffington Post report, the Giants center fielder didn't know about the promotion until after the game. Game 3 of the series will be played Saturday in Detroit, with the first pitch thrown at 8:07 p.m.
