St. Clair Shores Parks and Recreation, and the Senior Center of the Shores, has scheduled the annual Coney for Kids Dinner to benefit the Special Needs Program for May 2.

Registration for baseball, soccer and figure skating are among the sports now accepting registration for spring sports.
Registration is now open for sport leagues for adults and children, summer camps and boating safety classes. Adult softball leagues St. Clair Shores Parks and Recreation is now accepting applications for men's, women's and coed softball teams. Boys and girls in third through eighth grades can now register for the upcoming St. Clair Shores Parks and Recreation youth basketball season. All games are played at local schools in St. Clair Shores. The fee is $60 and includes a team shirt and photo. The deadline to register for freshmen and junior varsity teams are Nov. 25. Participants take field trips, go swimming and take part in arts, crafts and sports activities during the camp. Parks and Recreation officials in St. Clair Shores are looking forward to the heightened profile hockey will receive when the Detroit Red Wings take the ice on Jan. 1, 2013, for the NHL's Winter Classic.
