Deaborn Heights Robichaud ended South Lake's postseason run Friday with a 41-6 defeat of the Cavaliers.
South Lake lost to Dearborn Heights Robichaud 41-6 Friday in first-round playoff football action. The Cavaliers end the season with a 6-4 record. Robichaud, with a record of 9-1, moves onto the next round of the Michigan High School Athletic Association playoffs. This was South Lake's third straight trip to the playoffs, and the first under new head coach Chanterious Brock. He previously was the a defensive coordinator at Denby, Madison Heights and Oak Park high school.

The venue for the playoff game for South Lake's football team has been moved from Dearborn Heights to Romulus.
South Lake was notified that Friday's playoff football game has been moved from Robichaud High School. The Cavaliers will travel now travel to Romulus Middle School, 37300 Wick Road, Romulus, to take on Robichaud Bulldogs. Kickoff for the game between South Lake, 6-3, and Dearborn Heights Robichaud, 8-1, will be 7 p.m. Friday.

South Lake has a 6-3 record, and Robichaud has an 8-1 record. Robichaud's stadium is located at 3601 Janet Street, Dearborn Heights. Tickets are $5. The Michigan High School Athletic Association Sunday announced South Lake will play Dearborn Heights Robichaud.
South Lake returns to the MHSAA football playoffs this week and will meet Dearborn Heights Robichaud. This is the third straight year the Cavaliers have made the playoffs. The time, and date, for the game maybe announced Monday. South Lake had a 6-3 record. Dearborn Heights Robichaud had an 8-1 record.

South Lake's football team lost 31-22 Friday at home to Clintondale in the final regular season game of the year. The loss drops the Cavaliers to 6-3 this season. Football players at the three high schools in St. Clair Shores will take the field tonight for the final regular season game of the year.
After a summer of practices, after school planning sessions and hours in the weight room, football players at Lake Shore, Lakeview and South Lake will take the field tonight for the final football game of the year. Lakeview's final game of the year will be at Grosse Pointe South. Lake Shore wraps up the season at home against L'Anse Creuse. South Lake suit up for the regular season finale at home against Clintondale. Sunday the Cavaliers learn who they will meet in the MHSAA football playoffs. All three games kick off at 7 p.m.

The South Lake Cavaliers are going to the playoffs for the third year in a row with their victory Friday night.

Organizers of the tailgate before the first game of the football season between South Lake and Lake Shore announced Best Buy will bring televisions and game systems to the festivities.
Before the real football players take the field Aug. 23 at Lake Shore High School for the kickoff of the 2012 season, a number of virtual games will be played. Organizers of the tailgate before the game between city rivals South Lake and Lake Shore recently announced that Best Buy will bring two large plasma televisions with games systems. One will have a college video game, and the other will have an NFL game, according to Craig Manning, president of the Lake Shore Quarterback Club. The game systems will be in large tents near the field. Plans are also in the works to have a traveling video board from New Life Media that will be featuring videos of the football team.
