The Daily Tribune reports that a Detroit man took an iPhone from 11-year-old St. Clair Shores resident at Macomb Mall. He was later arrested by Roseville Police.
A 17-year-old Detroit man who reportedly stole an iPhone from an 11-year-old girl at Macomb Mall Monday has been arrested. According to a report by The Daily Tribune, Aaron Purifoy is charged with unarmed robbery for taking the phone from the girl as she walked in the parking lot of Macomb Mall. He fled in a waiting vehicle, but witnesses followed the vehicle and contacted Roseville Police. Officers from St. Clair Shores and Roseville stopped the car near 13 Mile and Harper. Purifoy is being held on a $50,000 bond according to the report.
Roseville police said Tuesday no human remains were found in soil samples taken last week.
Soil samples taken from a driveway in Roseville, where a tipster alleged Jimmy Hoffa was buried, did not have any signs of human decomposition, Roseville police reported Tuesday. Roseville police chief James Berlin issued a release that stated following a series of tests at Michigan State University, no signs of human remains were found in the soil samples taken from behind a home Friday. Berlin added that police department "will be concluding their investigation into the possible interment of a human body upon the property," according to the release.
