Update: St. Clair Shores Attorney Charged With Embezzling Nearly $400K

The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office has brought charges against a St. Clair Shores attorney for allegedly embezzling nearly $400,000 from a trust for two teenage boys. He was arraigned Tuesday.

The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office has charged an attorney from St. Clair Shores with allegedly stealing nearly $400,000 from a trust for two teenage boys. Robert Buschmohle, 39, who is charged with embezzlement over $100,000,  was appointed sole trustee of a living trust for two Warren males. Investigators allege Buschmohle wrote checks to himself from the fund over four years, draining it of all $389,000.  The mother of the boys attempted to contact Buschmohle as they neared the trust disbursement age of 19 to find out how they would receive their payments. After she was unable to contact him, she made a complaint to the Attorney Grievance Commission, who brought the matter to the Warren Police, according to the release. “This family …

Ditch Your Drugs: Dispose of Prescription Meds at Collection Sites Saturday

Macomb County residents will have 12 locations to drop of unused and expired prescription medications for DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day – Saturday, Sept. 29.

During exam time, a single Adderall pill can be sold for up to $20 in the hallways and parking lots of area high schools. “It depends on the time of year, but it’s a hot commodity,” said Chuck Ahee, Chippewa Valley High School senior.
