Dinner Planned for Community Volunteer
A fundraiser is being held Monday for Maureen Moore, an active volunteer in the city, who is fighting cancer.
The Optimist Club of St. Clair Shores and Wigs 4 Kids will be hosting a dinner fundraiser for a resident battling cancer. Maureen Moore is an active volunteer in the community who is a member of the Wigs 4 Kids Advisory Board and the St. Clair Shores Optimists. She also was a contributor to St. Clair Shores Patch. "Over the years, Maureen has reached out and extended countless hours to volunteering her time and energy to all the children of the city," Debbie DePape wrote in an email. "Now, she is in need of our support." The spaghetti dinner will offset financial costs for Moore. The dinner will be 5 - 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at Lakeland Manor. Tickets are $20 per person.
