Grosse Pointe Shores police assisted Macomb County law enforcement personnel in arresting three people at the intersection of Vernier and Lake Shore roads following a chase that started in Eastpointe. According to an email from Grosse Pointe Shores Director of Public Safety John J. Schulte, police from Eastpointe pursued three people accused of robbing a Sunoco gas station on 25000 Gratiot Ave. When the suspects’ vehicle traveled eastbound on Vernier Road toward the Shores, Grosse Pointe Shores police officers deployed spike strips across the road.
