Hazardous Weather for St. Clair Shores

There is a chance for 1 to 2 inches of snow accumulation and freezing drizzle.

St. Clair Shores is under a hazardous weather outlook along with other parts of southeast Michigan.  The National Weather Service predicted a burst of snow that will expand northeast across our area between 6 and 11 a.m. The snow is expected to fall in a two to three-hour period resulting in 1 to 2 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.  There is also the possibility of freezing drizzle Friday afternoon and evening that may continue through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. St. Clair Shores can expect a chance of snow after 5 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. After noon, there may be rain and snow showers possibly mixed with freezing drizzle. Macomb County Under Winter Weather Advisory, Freezing Rain-Snow Mix Possible

A winter weather advisory will remain in effect from 7 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday.

A nasty mix of snow and freezing rain is headed for Macomb County Sunday night, which could make for a slippery morning commute, according to National Weather Service reports.  Macomb County has been put under a winter weather advsiory from 7 p.m. Sunday through 6 a.m. Monday.  A mix of snow and freezing rain is expected to fall during the night, with 1 to 2 inches of snow possible by morning. Although temperatures will climb above freezing during the night, ice is possible.  The rain is expected to continue throughout the day Monday, with areas of fog likely after 10 a.m. as temperatures climb into the high 40s.
