Countdown to the Memorial Day Parade: Businesses, Unions Make Donations
The St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade is approaching, and leading up to the big event, Patch will be a profiling a unique aspect of the parade.
The St. Clair Shores business community, and the unions representing police and fire fighters, came together to make donations to the St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade. The Harper Avenue Business Association and the Macomb County Chamber presented a check for $1,900 to parade during the City Council meeting Monday. The money was raised from the Harper Business Expo the organizations held. Additionally, Mayor Kip Walby announced during the meeting that Fisher Dynamics, the St. Clair Shores Police Officers Association and the St. Clair Shores Professional Fire Fighters IAFF 1744 made donations to line the Harper Avenue parade route with 90 sets of American and St. Clair Shores flags.
