Five things to get your day started in St. Clair Shores.
Here are a few items that may help you get your day started. 1. It's cooling off today. According to a National Weather Service forecast, there is a 50 percent chance of scattered showers during the day with a high of 65-degrees and the evening will remain mostly cloud dipping to 56-degrees. 2. Interstate 94 will close at 10 p.m. Friday and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday at the I-696 interchange, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. A sign on I-94 has already been warning of the closure, which is part of a $70 million improvement project for the I-94 corridor in Wayne, Macomb and St. Clair counties. 3. Thanks to everyone who entered our contest to win free entry into the First State Fireworks Extravaganza.
Patch readers have spoken and we have winners of family four packs for the First State Bank Fireworks Extravaganza Friday in Veterans Memorial Park. The names of everyone who entered the contest by sharing their favorite things in St. Clair Shores were placed in a hat and randomly drawn. And the winners are: Winners will be notified and can pick up their prize packs at Caffe Far Bella from 5-5:30 p.m. Thursday. Alternative arrangements can be made to deliver the prize packs.
