"Gridiron" Brings Ford Field to Fishbone's

Theo "Gridiron" Spight sings the Detroit Lions' fight song at Ford Field for home games. For road games, including tonight's "Monday Night Football" game against the Chicago Bears, the St. Clair Shores resident rallies fans at Fishbone's.

When the Detroit Lions score at home, or on the road, St. Clair Shores-resident Theo Spight leads fans in singing the fight song, Gridiron Heroes. During home games at Ford Field, Spight is on the field with his Lions jersey and hardhat leading the crowd in the 10-line fight song that ends in "Gooooo Lions." When the team hits the road, including tonight's "Monday Night Football" Game in Chicago against the Bears, he brings his Lions gear and sings at Fishbone's in St. Clair Shores. "I call myself a football fan who just happens to know how to sing," Spight said before last Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Spight is in his ninth year of singing the fightsong for the Lions after being discovered during a singing contest …

Football Night in the Shores: Where to Cheer on the Lions

When the Lions take the field Saturday night, bars and restaurants throughout St. Clair Shores will have a variety of specials for football fans.

Lions fans have been waiting for more than a decade for a game this big. The Lions will be playing the Saints in New Orleans at 8 p.m. Saturday in the first round of the NFL playoffs. While the game may be in the Big Easy, Shores residents can still get the vibe of being on Bourbon Street and join with their fellow fans of the Honolulu blue and silver at bars and restaurants throughout the city. Here is a sampling of some parties in town:
