The Optimist Club of St. Clair Shores honored students and members of the community Wednesday at the annual Champions Banquet.
Families, local school officials, local and county elected officials came together Wednesday to honor, and celebrate, students and volunteers at the Optimist Club of St. Clair Shores annual Champions Banquet at Blossom Heath Inn. Club officials said 230 people attended the banquet which honored: In addition to honoring students and members of the community, the banquet was a fundraiser for the club.
The Optimist Club of St. Clair Shores will be honoring members of the community who have had a positive impact on children in the community. Students from Lakeview, Lake Shore and South Lake will also be receiving scholarships from the Optimist Club.
The Optimist Club of St. Clair Shores will recognize and honor members of the community for their work on behalf of children during its annual Champions Banquet Wednesday, May 2, at the Blossom Heath Inn. The club will be honoring: The Champions Banquet begins at 6 p.m., with the buffet dinner starting at 7 p.m. There will also be an auction and raffle with proceeds benefiting the Optimist Club of St. Clair Shores scholarship awards program. Ticket price will be $35 at the door.
