Here are a few items to help you get your day started. 1. The National Weather Service is forecasting another warm day for the Shores. There is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day, with a high near 80. There will be a west, southwest wind around 16 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 25 miles per hour. 2. It should be another great day to take a cruise on Lake St. Clair. The boating forecast from the National Weather Service is calling for southwest winds 15 to 20 knots, becoming west 10 to 15 knots. Waves will be 1 to 2 feet. 3. Beach Closures The Macomb County Health Department tests the water at six public beaches twice a week for E. coli bacteria. These bacteria live in the digestive system of humans and warm-blooded animals. If the levels of E. coli are unsafe (in excess of 300 E. coli colonies per 100 milliliters of water) swimmers could contract minor illnesses, including sore throats or diarrhea.  The following beaches are closed because of high E. coli levels: While the beaches are closed, the rest of the park is open.
