U.S. Postal Service Vehicle Involved in Accident
A U.S. Postal Service truck was apparently struck by a sport utility vehicle Wednesday afternoon at 11 Mile Road and Harper in St. Clair Shores.
A U.S. Postal Service truck was apparently struck by a sports utility vehicle about 4 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 11 Mile Road and Harper in St. Clair Shores. The Postal Service truck was struck on the left side of the vehicle, damaging the door of the truck and apparently knocking out the front windshield. The truck struck the opposite side of the right-hand-drive truck. St. Clair Shores Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike Witt that two people were transported to St. John Hospital in Detroit in stable condition. Witt added that when fire department personnel arrived on the scene, the postal vehicle was on the curb of the northeast corner of the intersection. That postal vehicle was not only struck but flipped over. I saw it on my way to the library. It was a little more serious than was indicated in the article.   more ›
