Breakfast With Santa and Events at the Selinsky-Green House are Among Events Planned This Weekend
Breakfast with Santa, family events at the St. Clair Shores Library and residents performing in "White Christmas" are among events coming up this weekend.
Here are some events to add to your weekend calendar:
- The Lakeshore Family YMCA is hosting a breakfast with Santa from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 for all you can eat pancake breakfast, crafts and Santa, basket raffle, and 2 years and younger its free. The event is open to the community.
- Grosse Pointe Theatre will present Irving Berlin's classic, "White Christmas," at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. Three members of the Groth family from St. Clair Shores are among the performers in the show.
- The Optimist Club of St. Clair Shores will host their annual Santa Station from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday at the Selinsky-Green House behind the St. Clair Shores Library. Santa and Mrs. Claus will meet and greet the children inside the historical house where after sharing their Christmas wish lists, the children will be able to have a cup of hot chocolate and cookies, visit the animals in the petting zoo and take a train ride on the Champions Express. All activities are free.
- The St. Clair Shores Library will host family events Saturday including:
- Drop-in craft for children 10 a.m. - noon and 2 - 4 p.m.
- Friends gift, book and bake sale in the Library 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- The Local History Center will host an open house For all ages from 10 a.m. - noon and 1 - 4 p.m.
