Senior Expo, Golf Course Work and Classic Movie Planned for This Week

City council to meet, a free showing of a classic movie and a fundraiser are among events planned for this week.

Here are some events to add to your calendar this week:

  • The St. Clair Shores City Council meets at 7 p.m. in City Hall. Among the items to be considered include a request by the YMCA to hold the Monster Dash and Fun Run on Oct. 26.
  • Golfers will want to take note that the greens will aerated at the St. Clair Shores Golf Club. The front nine will be aerated on Tuesday, and the back nine will be open for play. The back nine will be aerated on Wednesday and we will re-open the front nine for play. 
  • Assumption Cultural Center will hold the annual Senior Expo Thursday, which includes informative exhibits, educational seminars, valuable resources, luncheon and entertainment.
  • The St. Clair Shores Library will host a free showing of "The Big Sleep" 1:30 p.m. Friday in the William Gilstorf Meeting Room.
  • Wigs 4 Kids will hold a Halloween-themed Boo Water Bash fundraiser Friday.
