Whiz Kids: Students Honored for Bettering the Environment

Three high school seniors receive scholarships for their past work to improve the environment and their long-term plans to help Lake St. Clair and the region.

Whiz Kids: Richard Kelly, Nicole Herrick, Tayson Lin.
Whiz Kids' Schools: Kelly is a senior at Herrick is a senior at , Lin is a senior .
Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: The three students were recipients of $500 scholarships from the St. Clair Shores Waterfront Environmental Committee that were sponsored by the We Are Here Foundation and former State Rep. Sarah Roberts.
Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness: "These three students met the requirements far beyond our expectations. They participate in many of our projects and their (essay) answers to the questions were an education in themselves," said Joe St. John, chairman of the St. Clair Shores Waterfront Environmental Committee.
