St. Clair Shores Firefighters Sponsor Apples for Senior Center Pies

The St. Clair Shores Firefighters have joined other groups across the city to help sponsor apples for the Senior Activities Center annual pie fundraiser.

The spring freeze which damaged apple crops at the beginning of the year is impacting the St. Clair Shores Senior Activities Center annual apple pie fundraiser.

The price apples have doubled, and the center is seeking pie partners sponsor sponsor a case of apples.

St. Clair Shores Firefighters have sponsored 10 cases of apples, and will help make pies this week. St. Clair Shores police officers also sponsored five cases.

Other donors include Councilman John Caron, The Family Craftsman, Kathy Scruggs, Sharon Wright-Guswiler, an  anonymous donor to honor Cancer surviviors, Nancy La Clair, Kyle Phillips, William Diehl, Geraldine Day, James Wallace, St. Clair Shroes Figure Skating Club and Fedora Amateis, according to Senior Center staff.
