In Photos: Kiwanis, Volunteers and Businesses Provide Christmas for Families

Lac Ste. Claire Kiwanis brought together dozens of volunteers and local businesses to provide toys, meals and Christmas celebrations to families in St. Clair Shores and at Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

Families throughout the eastside of Macomb County were the recipients of gifts, goodwill and Christmas tidings from local businesses and Lac Ste. Claire Kiwanis.

Children recently dined with Santa at Rose's Family Dining in St. Clair Shores and received stockings stuffed with toys. Local schools, churches and social service agencies also received items donated to the Kiwanis.

The Kiwanis were also scheduled to deliver items - including nearly $2,000 of donated bicycles, skateboards and toys from - to families at Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

"It's so wonderful to see the little kids ... a toy means so much to them," said Krstana Acovski, daughter-in-law of the owners of Rose's restaurant. "We support (the Kiwanis) and everything they do."
