Kids Against Hunger

Bethel Lutheran Church, Thrivent Financial, and the Lakeview School District are working together to assemble 20,000 nutritious rice-soy meals fortified with 21 essential vitamins and minerals.  Each meals feeds up to 6 people.  One third of the meals stay local to help feed starving children and families, one third is stored to aid those facing natural disasters, and one third is shipped to impoverished areas internationally.  Kids from age 5 to 95 are encouraged to help during the day.  Two shifts are offered:  11:45am until approx. 1:30pm and 1:45pm until approx. 3:30pm.  Volunteers will be treated to pizza and pop before each shift.
