Community Gathers to Celebrate, Support Wigs 4 Kids

A sold-out crowd had fun for a good cause Friday at the Wigs 4 Kids annual gala at Barrister Gardens.

A sold-out crowd filled Barrister Gardens Friday for to celebrate a decade of providing hope and healing to Michigan children by Wigs 4 Kids at the annual gala for the St. Clair Shores-based charity.
 
Children served by Wigs 4 Kids showcased their unique fashions, artistic and musical talents in a kids’ variety show, according to a release. 
“For the third year in a row, we were fortunate to have a sold out crowd of generous guests who attended to celebrate with the kids and raise funds to help us continue our mission,” said Maggie Varney, Founder and CEO of Wigs 4 Kids, in a release. “Special thanks to Macomb County Executive, Mark Hackel for being our Keynote Speaker, The Gold Family of American Jewelry & Loan for providing the funds in our money booth the kids enjoyed, and celebrity Steve Wilkos for being a Gold Sponsor of our event! 

Wigs 4 Kids provides wigs and support services to Michigan children experiencing 
hair loss as a result of cancer treatment, alopecia, trichotillomania and other 
disorders. The program is available to any child or teen from ages 3 to 18 at no cost
