Checks Presented to Police, Fire Charities from Guns N' Hoses Softball Game

While the St. Clair Shores Police Department defeated the Fire Department in the Guns N' Hoses softball fundraiser, selected charities were the real winners.

Members of the St. Clair Shores Women's Civic League recently presented checks from the Guns N' Hoses softball fundraiser to representatives of the police and fire departments.

A $500 check was presented to the fire department for the Great Lakes Burn Camp, and a second $500 check was presented to the police department for Cops for Kids. Money raised for the charities, along with selected charities chosen by the Women's Civic League, came from donations and the sale of special event shirts.

Additionally The Boat Works donated an additional $500 to the police who won the game 11-8. The Boat Works also donated $250 to the Great Lakes Burn Camp.
