Rain-Delayed Fireworks Show to Launch Wednesday

Heavy rains on the original show date led organizers of the St. Clair Shores First State Fireworks Extravaganza to reschedule it for Wednesday night.

The rain storms Friday which caused puddles throughout Veterans Memorial Park, and water-logged the fireworks barge, didn't dampen the spirits of city officials planning the rescheduled First State Fireworks Extravaganza.

The show, originally scheduled for Friday, was rescheduled due the condition of the park and safety concerns for those shooting off the fireworks from the barge in Lake St. Clair.

It has been rescheduled for Wednesday evening.
