The King's Car, Classics and Parties Planned for the Harper Charity Cruise

Businesses along Harper are planning a number of events for tonight's Kiwanis Harper Charity Cruise.

Classic automobiles from a number of generations, including Richard Petty's 1964 race car, will fill Harper Avenue for the annual

As cruisers take to the road between Old Eight Mile and Martin, businesses have announced a number of parties for the 18th edition of the cruise which benefits charities including CARE of Southeastern Michigan, Tree of Hope Foundation, , the Macomb Chamber Music Society and the St. Clair Shores Cultural Commission.

Events planned along the route include:

  • : A tent outside the bar and restaurant will have a DJ, food and beverages
  • 's Restaurant: A DJ will provide music outside, along with food grilled outside along with regular service inside the restaurant
  • : Richard Petty's race car from 1964, a Great Lakes Battery sponsored dragster and live music will be on display
  • : Will feature events for children including clowns making balloon animals
  • : The Autorama and Chicago car show award winning car from Roseville High School will be on display with a number of other classic autos.
  • Time Warp Antiques: The store will be open for the cruise and will unveil the new floor design along with hosting a sale during the event
