Workouts by the Water

St. Clair Shores Parks and Recreation is hosting a pair of fitness classes by the water at Veterans Memorial Park.

St. Clair Shores Parks and Recreation is hosting a pair of fitness classes at Veterans Memorial Park this summer.

Both the Bokwa and Zumba classes are both held at Veterans Memorial Park, and taught by licensed instructor Michelle Sand. The classes are held Monday and Saturdays. 

Additionally, Sand will be offering free demonstrations of both workouts before the concert in the park Wednesday, June 26. 

Sand also added that she is offering a special in July, with a $5 fee per class. 

Bokwa fitness

Bokwa fitness is being held at Mondays at 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m., Veterans Memorial Park. 

According to Parks and Recreation, Bokwa is a "fun, group exercise where participants draw letters and numbers with their feet while performing an energizing and addictive cardio workout to today's most popular music. It can be performed at different intensities. The class is open to adults, kids and seniors."

Zumba

Zumba classes are taught Mondays at 6:30 p.m., and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m., at Memorial Park.
