Sea Serpents Hit the Pool With Record Numbers

The St. Clair Shores Sea Serpents had a record number of swimmers this year as they competed against teams from the Grosse Pointes.

The St. Clair Shores Sea Serpents hit the pool this year with the largest team in the nine years Greg Wolff has been coach.

There are 120 swimmers between 6- and 17-years-old on the team which compete in the Lakefront Swimming Association with teams from the Grosse Pointes.

This more than one-third more swimmers than the Sea Serpents had this past year, which Wolff said was "a little bit of shocker."

The season concludes Wednesday night with the league finals at Grosse Pointe South High School. According to Wolff, a number of swimmers qualified for the final heats including the relay teams.
