SCSHA Drops The Puck On A New Season

The St. Clair Shores Hockey Association celebrated the opening of a new season Sunday with a day-long celebration.

While games were held on the ice, a number of family-friendly events were held outside of Civic Arena during opening day festivities for the league comprised of 652 players from 4- to 19-years old.

"Out goal isn't to develop professional hockey players but good, outstanding citizens," said Paul Doppke, SCSHA president.

This year the association welcomed Kid Rock and Jimmy John's as new sponsors.
