Lakeview Students Need Student ID to Attend Tonight's Game in Harper Woods

Students need their identification, and parent or legal guardian, to attend tonight's game due to security requirements at Harper Woods High School.

Lakeview High School students planning to attend tonight's boys basketball game at Harper Woods High School need to bring a Lakeview High School identification and be escorted by a parent or legal guardian, according to the district.

The security measures were put in place by the Harper Woods School District to curtail violence during and after basketball games, according to a report by the Macomb Daily.

According to the report, the policy was implemented after gang incidents involving students and former students from nearby Detroit high schools.
