Lakeview Soccer, Division Champs, End Regular Season at Home

The MAC Blue Champions, Lakeview Huskies, close out the regular season Monday at home against Sterling Heights.

The Lakeview Huskies girls soccer team won their first MAC Blue title since 2008, according to MLive, and will close at the regular season Monday at home against Sterling Heights.

The Huskies, who are 14-3 overall, has "done an amazing job this year coming out focused and ready to play for each game," according to an email from Brooke Sweeney-Pouliot, Lakeview Varsity girls soccer coach.

  • Two hat tricks occur in the same game from Sarah Economeas and Keiley Phillips.
  • A penalty kick save by the goalie.
  • The scoring leaders for the entire league are from the Huskies, Sarah Economeas and Keiley Phillips, who each have 21 goals each. 

The Huskies take the field at 6:30 p.m. Monday, according to MHSAA.
