Summer practice is underway for the Lake Shore football team as coaches and players prepare for the 2013 season and a tournament at Ford Field.
In the mornings, the incoming freshmen are working out and learning the Lake Shore system.
In the afternoons, the older players are practicing for the season and a 7-on-7 tournament Friday at Ford Field.
The first game for the Shorians is 7:55 a.m. Friday against Chelsea.
For the balance of the summer, the players will be working out in preparation for the start of fall practices Aug. 12.
Additionally, the Detroit Medical Center will conduct physicals from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 7 at Lake Shore High School for $20. The physicals are open to the community.
