Kids Bowl Free Program Comes to Harbor Lanes

St. Clair Shores bowling center to host program beginning April 15.

Bowling is truly a game for all ages, and beginning April 15, on Jefferson Avenue just north of 10 Mile, kids from all over the community can enjoy up to two games a day for free.

The Kids Bowl Free program is coming to St. Clair Shores and, according to Harbor Lanes promotions manager Jim Reed, there are no strings attached to the national initiative.

“We’re really happy to be a part of this program this year,” Reed said. “It’s no gimmick. There are no strings attached at all. It’s just about kids enjoying the game. That’s it.”

Then, beginning the week of April 15, straight through to Sept. 5, free bowling passes will be emailed each week.

After that, all that’s left is for these kids to come and enjoy bowling at Harbor Lanes.

The program at Harbor Lanes is open to kids 18 years old and younger and parents or guardians can register up to six kids for the program.

Reed says the program has already been well received.

“We’ve already got something like 23 kids signed up at Harbor Lanes,” Reed said. “And all we really have is a banner up at the bowling center. We think this is such a great program, and we’re very excited to be a part of it. We hope lots of kids will come and be a part of it.”

The program is also being offered at beginning May 9.
