Huskies Bowlers Win Regionals

Lakeview High School boys varsity bowling team advances to state championships Friday after winning the regional championship.

's boys varsity bowling team came in first place Friday at the MHSAA State Regional Bowling Tournament (Division 1, Region 6) at Skore Lanes in Taylor

With a combined total score of 3,991, the boys edged Roseville for the championship and advanced to the state finals next Friday in Battle Creek.

"While there wasn’t one person who took bowled outstanding all day, it was a true team event with everybody contributing to the victory from the start with six baker games through the final three games of five-man competition," according to Dan Dombrowski, who submitted the box score.

This was first year Lakeview participated in Division 1 competition with the larger schools that are part of Region 6 due to the size of the school
