Final Day of Competition in the Silver Stick Tournament at Civic Arena-Photos

Today is the final day of competition in the regional Silver Stick tournament at Civic Arena in St. Clair Shores.

Teams will take to the ice at Civic Arena today for the final games of the regional Silver Stick tournament.

Nearly 1,200 players, between 8 and 18 years old, from teams across the state have taken the ice in games held over the past two weekends.

"In hockey, we consider this to be our Little League World Series," said Shawn Nicholson, vice-president of the St. Clair Shores Hockey Association which is the host organization for the tournament.

Admission is free, and the last game scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. today.
