Lake Shore Public Schools is holding a grand opening and charity event as part of the unveiling of its new $4.3 million High School Performance Gym and Commons Area.
The dedication ceremony will be held during the first home boys' basketball game -- between the JV and Varsity -- around 7 pm. The event is extra special because in addition to the grand opening, the district is partnering with St. Margaret's Church to help a good cause.
As a result the public is invited to bring in a canned food donation or new article of clothing to assist the church's program to help the homeless. Your donation gets you $2 off the normal $4 admission to the game.
