Three St. Clair Shores residents were part of the De La Salle boys baseball team which started the season 2-14, but turned around their fortunes to compete for the state championship.

Senior Bill Radatz, a right-handed pitcher, juniors David Crudder and Sean Boyle, all residents of St. Clair Shores, were part of the team which lost 9-6 Saturday to Hudsonville in the Division 1 championship game in Battle Creek.

Radatz, a right-handed pitcher, Crudder, a pitcher and plays first base, and Boyle, an infielder, helped the Pilots earn their first appearance in the championship game since 2009, when De La Salle captured the state title.
