St. Clair Shores Resident Returns to Specs Howard, Finds True Calling
A St. Clair Shores resident left the automotive industry and attended Specs Howard School of Media to follow his dream.
When the economic downturn hit the local economy, St. Clair Shores resident Steve Linville began to assess what his "passions" were.
The 30-year-old was working in the automotive industry, but had taken design classes, and decided this was a new career path for him.
Linville enrolled in Specs Howard School of Media Arts, and after enrolling in the one year intensive and extensive program, he was able to move into the graphic design field with Fathead in Detroit.

In a release, he said "I am a graphic designer and loving every minute of it."
Linville added "Specs taught me to work hard, design what interests you, pay attention to the world around and take criticism in stride. Al. criticism is good criticism. The world is a designer's playground and everything else has been designed."
