South Lake Schools Seeking Applicants for Board Vacancy

South Lake Schools is seeking candidates for a vacancy on the board of education.

South Lake Schools is seeking applicants to fill an upcoming vacancy on the school board.

Any South Lake resident, who is a qualified elector, at least 18-years-old and a United States citizen, is eligible. 

Those interested in filling the vacancy should submit a letter of intent that includes the following: why they are seeking the office; why they believe they are qualified; and what experience they may have had with public education.

Letters of Intent are due by January 24, 2014, and can be mailed or delivered to Veda Hall at the South Lake Schools Board of Education Office located at 23101 Stadium Blvd. St. Clair Shores, MI  48080.  

Applicants will be interviewed at a Board of Education Special Meeting on February 5, 2014. The new member will be sworn in at the February 19, 2014, Board of Education business meeting.

The candidate selected will serve the remainder of the term of president Allan Innes, who will be resigning at the end of January.
