South Lake Recognizes ACT Achievement

Students who scored 18 or higher on the ACT were recently honored by the South Lake High School.

South Lake High School recently recognized seniors for their achievements on the ACT during a school-wide pep rally for learning.

There were 73 students in the class of 2014 who scored 18 or higher on the ACT test, and senior Nick Nieto who scored a 31.

After the students were individually were recognized, students competed in a variety of games to win prizes donated by local businesses and purchased through a staff fundraiser.

"Take your future seriously, set goals for yourself, see your self experiencing success at home, at school and in your relationships," said South Lake principal Carmen Kennedy, as she addressed the school's student body.
